‘Play it Green’ won the Green Expo 2025 Innovation in Commerce award in November but was unable to accept it on the night. It was handed over by Jane Harrad-Roberts to co-founder and CEO, Richard Dickson.
Play it Green was formed by two Manchester Dads. It is helping over 200 business clients across 9 countries ‘reduce’ their carbon footprint, ‘repair’ the planet and ‘regive’ to good causes. Also mentioned was Wild Thang from Liverpool and the Race to Zero scheme from Cheshire West and Chester Council and Groundwork, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for businesses to have an energy audit and impartial advice. It has already supported over 130 businesses – from cricket clubs to warehouses – to make that journey.
